Sit by the fire, Curse the Ash.

Hello, how low?

“The most vicious lie of all is the sort wherein we lie to our self and never ever give up on it and keep on carrying it to the very extent where we cannot hold it within us and that is when we create this very fake image of our self in our as well as in our friends’ minds’- but when this fake mask breaks off, the aftereffects of it are more than just destructive. The way our shadow leaves our side is so much more than just an illusion that one can never try and understand how it takes a toll as to how it starts affecting our life style and our way of addressing our self to others around us.

“An illusion is worth to be in the being only till the time it serves as the source of entertainment and that too, just to us”- the moment it turns into a battlefield, all the fun is gone and dead forever because the consequences are gonna be very costly and well, might be mind numbing in a few cases too. You might think you are of the sort of the ‘one-man army’ but you have your shadow with yourself- which guards you against your own negativity, saves you from the very worst phases of life where you might feel like you are not alone but it takes time to let it sink in that yes- the end is near. And trust me, when that very protective shield of your own self is gone, there isn’t nothing which can help you with yourself and that very destructive mind of yours which can trigger things in a way no one can ever imagine of.
The moment it turns into the reality, the fun of it being a real thing is gone- that is the very irony we live in and eventually succumb to it in the end. The kinda reality which we think does not exist in our mind or our world- the very little world we live in because we all have this very habit of never reflecting upon things according to the situations but to how we might be expecting the things to turn out as. According to us, that’s what the real reality is- that’s the ultimate truth and every aspect it deals with is also the one and only factual reality! Our minds have started functioning in a way where it makes us question our self worth and our very existence and well it basically leaves a negative remark on both our minds and soul because it affects us!
The only myth lies in a truth you speak when you try and be so much more than just confident and try not to drag it up but not everything is supposed to go according to your wish or so now will it? So what you do is try and the only thing you know and cover it up with such a story which is not even close to a version you might ever know. How much was it even worth to kill that very part of you which you wanted to get rid of but you did- in a way or two- or did you not? Myths lie in those moments where you fail to maintain an eye contact with the one you are conversing, with the one who is listening to your plea; with the one whom you are trying to seek help but he fails to offer you the kinda help you are looking for.

Just like the sadness of the very summertime speaks through your eyes and the paleness of your breathe- I realise you might be looking for the correct person in the wrong one. You think being surrounded by all of everyone and anyone will help you get rid of your melancholy, being around someone will heal the wounds and their scars which time has given off to you- the pain will end. The cold wind flowing around you freezes your soul and not your skin, kills your strength and not your weakness. Because you think so much so that you exhaust your brain, and basically your soul too in a way, you fail to focus on that very basic point in life where you start to lose that very essence in reality and also in the basics of humanity.

Speck of Light

Speck of Light

Do you see that, that speck of light at the end of the tunnel? Or do you?
I possibly couldn't or rather didn't pay attention to the light in the dark. I tore myself apart, they said. They said so many things, warned me to never let loose on myself.
I wish I could understand the things back then,  at least I wouldn't have ended up this way. this way of being so naive, or numb or an inert being.
Do we all not wish for too much at times which even so happens that dulls down even the chances of the better part?

I do not know but I remember this one time from one of the sleepless nights I had. I was staring at the windowpane, and how many grooves the wood had when it was carved out and how rusty that latch turned because of the constant rain water which would come in whenever it rained- over all these years. I could notice the red ladybug and the damaged and almost useless wing it had.

I could sense the change in the air around me, I could sense it turn into this earthly smelling air without the rain having been poured. Maybe it meant  something was or is yet about to change.

Maybe.
After all, we live our lives on maybes, don't we?
